In 1995, Temple moved its Tokyo campus (for
the third time) from the suburbs to downtown.
I found myself having a very long commute,
so I too moved from Wako back downtown. The
location was an area in the southernmost
part of Tokyo called Kamata. Here I am standing
in front of my new apartment building. It
had just been completed. When I moved in,
workers were still applying the tiles to
the exteerior of the building.
